Adam is not allowed to receive any packages or goodies of any kind while he is in bootcamp. They say all mail should come in a plain envelope with nothing on it like happy faces or stickers. This will draw the attention of his drill instructor, something I'm sure Adam is trying to avoid. They say not to epect much if any return mail from him but that the recruits always look forward to mail call. Adam has said any sports related information would be aprreciated since he is going to miss all of the NFL Playoffs and Bowl games.

Trip to San Diego
In October Sheila and I took our Granddaughter Bailey to San Diego to vist Mike, Sheri, Caiden and Collin the newest addition to the Carroll Clan. It was great to spend time with them. We were busy everyday trying to see and do everything. This was Sheila's first trip back to San Diego since Mom's memorial service. Bailey and Caiden played from the time they got up in the morning until bedtime. Then it was time for the adults to relax (I forgot how much energy it takes to chase around little kids).

John and Sheila with REO
Sheila and I spent Mothers Day in Oklahoma City at a an REO Speedwagon concert. A lady who I work with is cousins with the tour manager for REO and was able to get us tickets to the concert and back stage passes to meet the band. Here we are with lead singer Kevin Cronin.
